Customer Service Representative

Description We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team on a contract basis in Richmond, Virginia. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to assist clients with inquiries related to housing programs while maintaining a high level of professionalism and empathy. The role is ideal for individuals passionate about delivering excellent service and ensuring customer satisfaction in a government setting.

Responsibilities:

- Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally, aiming to resolve issues during the initial interaction.

- Provide accurate information regarding Low Income Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Program.

- Ensure follow-up on transferred inquiries to confirm resolution and customer satisfaction.

- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings by adhering to established criteria and guidelines.

- Participate in mandatory training sessions to stay updated on organizational policies and procedures.

- Utilize predefined scripts and protocols to assess whether immediate resolution is possible or escalation is required.

- Accurately document call details in the organization's system to ensure proper record-keeping and follow-up.

- Demonstrate empathy and understanding while addressing customer concerns.

- Work collaboratively with team members and management to enhance service delivery. Requirements - Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a call center environment.

- Proficiency in handling inbound and outbound calls efficiently.

- Strong order entry and data management skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively and convey empathy during customer interactions.

- Familiarity with government housing programs is a plus.

- Capable of multitasking and maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

- Willingness to attend required training sessions and adapt to organizational policies.
