Automotive Junior Service Advisor / Customer Service Representative

MUST have experience working in an automotive repair shop or dealership.

Location: North Chesterfield, VA

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (No Weekends)

Pay: $18–$25/hour, based on experience

Qualifications
  • Automotive industry experience required
  • Previous experience working in an automotive repair shop or dealership
  • Strong communication, customer service, and phone skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and scheduling software such as Tekmetric
  • Experience with Tekmetric or other automotive shop management software preferred
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast‑paced shop environment
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Able to handle customer concerns calmly and professionally
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and customer‑focused Automotive Customer Service Representative to join our growing independent automotive repair shop. This position is ideal for someone who understands the automotive service industry and enjoys helping customers throughout the repair process. As the first point of contact for customers, you'll play a key role in creating an exceptional customer experience while supporting daily front‑office operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and provide a professional, welcoming experience
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with service‑related inquiries
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle services and repairs
  • Process payments and close repair orders accurately
  • Maintain customer records, filing, scanning, and documentation
  • Assist with warranty paperwork and customer communications
  • Balance daily receipts and payment records
  • Follow up with customers regarding service satisfaction
  • Support service advisors, technicians, and management with administrative tasks
  • Help maintain a clean and organized customer waiting area
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and assist wherever needed
