Utility Operations Coordinator
We are seeking a Utility Operations Coordinator to support outage response, crew coordination, customer communications, and maintenance scheduling activities within a utility operations environment. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze customer calls and system data to identify power outage locations and determine potential causes.
- Dispatch field personnel and repair crews efficiently to support outage restoration and emergency response efforts.
- Coordinate workforce callouts for service restoration, emergency events, planned overtime, and shift coverage.
- Maintain accurate crew status and location information, particularly during storm restoration and emergency events.
- Manage and update estimated restoration times to ensure timely and accurate customer communication.
- Provide customer support, address inquiries, and assist with first-level resolution of customer concerns.
- Support customer correspondence activities as needed.
- Prioritize, schedule, and coordinate preventative maintenance activities and customer-requested work.
- Assist with work order creation, documentation, permitting coordination, record updates, and reconciliation of field discrepancies when required.
- Perform additional operational support duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor's degree preferred. - Knowledge of electric utility services or utility operations.
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities.
- Comfortable learning and utilizing multiple software applications and systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to reliability and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with in the electric utility industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience coordinating field operations, dispatching, scheduling, or workforce management activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
