The Dental Hygiene Department at Germanna Community College seeks adjunct professors for didactic and clinical teaching assignments in Pharmacology and Dental Hygiene III. The role includes supervising dental hygiene students during comprehensive dental hygiene care and teaching didactic portions of the curriculum.
Responsibilities- Supervise dental hygiene students during comprehensive dental hygiene care.
- Teach didactic portions of the curriculum where expertise is needed.
- Assist with other duties as assigned and emergency responses when required.
- Travel to college and clinical locations as necessary.
- Registered Dental Hygienist with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with Canvas and TOPS 2.2 (mandatory before teaching; provided by the college).
- Willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.
- Prior teaching experience.
- Work experience in the field.
- Experience with online teaching.
- Master’s of Science (preferred).
The adjunct faculty appointment is a pool posting, and the teaching load is based on student enrollment and staffing needs. No guarantee of continued employment. The position does not involve vehicle operation.
