Patient Care Coordinator-Pediatric Dentistry

Chief Purpose of the Position

VCU Dental Care is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to support a positive patient experience by managing scheduling, registration, patient accounts, insurance verification, billing support, and patient communication. This position serves as a primary resource for patients and works closely with clinical teams to ensure accurate and efficient patient care coordination.

• Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, students, residents, faculty, and staff.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong telephone etiquette and accurate data entry skills.
• Ability to explain patient account balances and financial information clearly.
• Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Dental terminology and office experience preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Dental or medical office experience preferred.
• Insurance verification and/or accounts receivable experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Hiring Range:
Commensurate with experience
