Wendel is currently seeking a mid‑level Interior Designer to join our Richmond, VA office. Our interiors team works across multiple markets, including corporate, healthcare, higher education, transportation, and government

This full‑time position is ideal for a motivated, design-driven professional who is eager to contribute, collaborate, and grow. The Interior Designer will manage the design and completion of commercial interior projects from programming through construction administration, working closely with clients, consultants, and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities- Programming and space planning
- Field verification and existing conditions documentation
- Development of construction documents
- Finish and furniture selection, specifications, and presentations
- Construction administration
- Assistance in maintaining and strengthening client relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design is required
- 6–14 years of professional interior design experience
- Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam Revu
- Strong working knowledge of building codes
- Excellent written, verbal, and client‑facing communication skills
- 3D rendering experience preferred
- Experience with InDesign, Sketch Up, and Photoshop is a plus

Salary Range: $66,500–$94,000
Wendel is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary offered will also take into consideration regional adjustment factors.
