Role OverviewThe Workplace Design Lead leads workplace design initiatives across corporate real estate projects, from programming and space planning through construction, furniture installation, and occupancy. This role requires at least 7+ years of experience in interior design, construction coordination, and workplace furniture systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop test fits for proposed locations independently or by managing external architectural and design consultants.
- Oversee the preparation and review of construction drawings, including incremental progress sets.
- Develop and manage furniture plans, layouts, and selections aligned with overall design objectives.
- Lead efforts with local furniture dealers to finalize selections, finishes, and prepare quotations for approval and order.
- Develop signage packages and coordinate with signage vendors for proposal, fabrication, and installation to align with project schedules.
- Provide regular reporting on project status, risks, and financial performance, maintaining full ownership of project budgets and tracking tenant improvement allowances.
- Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders such as AV/IT, Security, Facilities, and other business units to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure projects are delivered fully complete and ready for occupancy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field from an accredited, in‑person institution.
- 7+ years of hands‑on experience in corporate design and construction project management.
- Track record of independently leading projects from concept through completion with full accountability for outcomes, including schedule and budget.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong communication, project leadership, and decision‑making skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revu/Bluebeam.
- 100% in‑office role; remote work is not available.
- Travel required as needed to support project management, site visits, and progress reviews (minimum 20%).
