AutoCAD Technician – Scaffold Services Division
Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Richmond, VA. Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an AutoCAD Technician to design and layout systems and frame scaffolding applications on construction projects across the southeast region. Projects include exterior scaffolding around building perimeters, interior elevated work platforms ("dance floors"), and industrial projects such as tanks.
Responsibilities- Design and layout scaffold and frame structures using AutoCAD.
- Develop precise layout systems and frame scaffolding applications in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Review incoming client requests, assess project scopes, and manage initial technical communications to streamline the design workflow.
- Assist in project triage and provide high-level support for U.S. operations.
- Mechanically inclined with strong blueprint reading skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Good communication skills, above-average math ability.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Previous scaffold experience or background in construction required.
- Must live within commutable distance of Richmond, VA.
Base pay range: $24.05–$34.56 per hour, varying based on position, location, education, training, and experience.
