OBGYN Physician Locums Job in Virginia Clinic Hours + Call 5/1/2026 - 8/31/2026 Assignment
Coverage Needed: 5/1/2026 - 8/31/2026
Shift Description:
Clinic hours plus call
Weekend call
Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Must be licensed in Virginia
ACLS/BLS
Local candidates only
Procedures:
Obstetrics:
Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis, etc.), FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE, OB ultrasounds - performance of interpretation, OB ultrasounds - performance of Level I/screening (viability)
Labor and Delivery:
Routine delivery - vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section, complicated delivery - C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc., VBACs, repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
Gynecology:
Office/minor gynecology - IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc., surgical gynecology - open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOAs, chromotubation, operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs
Assignment Details:
Level II trauma facility and Level III NICU
Average number of scheduled patients per day: 25-30
One on one clinical staff support per provider (CMA, LPN and RN)
Lab and ultrasound onsite
EMR:
Epic
Practice consists of 90% low risk pregnancies and 10% high risk pregnancies
Around 1-4 GYN surgeries per day depending on case time required
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days
