Join Our team as a Locum - Physician - Hematology Oncology in Richmond, VA
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hematology Oncology Physician to provide exceptional patient care on a locum basis at a renowned cancer institute. This vital role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic inpatient and outpatient setting, contribute to groundbreaking research, and support a patient population in need. Required Skills:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Valid medical license in Virginia or eligible for license reciprocity
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology
- Proven experience in inpatient and outpatient oncology care
- Strong knowledge of EPIC EMR system
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to oversee nurse practitioners and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Willing and interested in enrolling patients in clinical research studies
- Availability for call coverage as needed
Skills:
- Experience in research enrollment and clinical trials
- Prior experience working in hospital-based oncology practices
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and multidisciplinary care coordination
- Bilingual abilities to serve a diverse patient population
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in hematology and oncology
- Prior locum or temp-to-perm experience is advantageous
- Willingness to provide inpatient and outpatient coverage during specified dates
- Compliance with all institutional policies, safety standards, and continuing education requirements
- Ability to travel to specified coverage periods as needed
Hourly Pay Rate: $19,500.00
