About the Position
Join Our Team as a Locum OB/GYN Physician in Richmond, VA
Are you a dedicated OB/GYN physician seeking a rewarding temporary position? Bon Secours Richmond OB/GYN ys is welcoming experienced Locum OB/GYN MDs/DOs to provide exceptional care within a collaborative, supportive environment. This opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a flexible schedule and competitive compensation.
In this role, you will cover both office and hospital settings, including call responsibilities, to support a busy practice serving a diverse patient population. With a focus on low-risk pregnancies and gynecology procedures, this position offers a balanced mix of clinical work and professional growth. You will work alongside a talented team of physicians, midwives, and support staff, utilizing advanced OB/GYN equipment and an efficient electronic medical record system (EPIC).
The practice operates within a comfortable, well-equipped clinic with onsite ultrasound and lab services, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
Required Skills:
MD or DO with valid medical license in Virginia
Board-certified or eligible in OB/GYN
Proven experience in outpatient and hospital obstetrics and gynecology
Proficiency in low-risk pregnancy and gynecology procedures
Excellent communication and clinical skills
Ability to interpret FHR, perform ultrasounds, and manage deliveries, including C-sections and VBACs
Nice to Have
Skills:
Experience with Level III NICU coordination
Familiarity with complex OB/GYN procedures
Prior work in a hospital and outpatient setting
Bilingual capabilities are a plus
Preferred
Education and Experience:
Medical degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN practice experience
Current DEA and BLS certifications
Active Virginia medical license
Other Requirements:
Eligible for hospital credentialing (approx. 120 days)
Ability to work scheduled hours (8 am – 4 pm) with on-call duties (1 in 4 ratio)
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Compliance with all licensure, certification, and employment laws
This position starts on February 13, 2026, and runs through August 31, 2026, with an hourly pay rate of $19.50. Enjoy weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), and a robust referral bonus program. We also provide licensure, certification, travel reimbursements when applicable, and paid sick time in accordance with all laws.
