In this vital position, you will conduct essential outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology procedures, including endoscopies, colonoscopies, biopsies, and advanced interventions such as EUS and ERCP. Your expertise will support patient care needs during a coverage gap, ensuring continuous service excellence in a team-oriented environment.
Required Skills:
- Board-certified or eligible in Gastroenterology
- Proven proficiency in outpatient and hospital-based gastroenterology procedures
- Experience with ERCP, EUS, and advanced endoscopic techniques
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and patient management capabilities
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday on call basis)
Skills:
- Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system
- Additional certifications or specialized training in advanced endoscopy
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Minimum of 2 years of gastroenterology practice or equivalent relevant experience
- Active Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Willingness to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday call)
- Credentialing completion within approximately 90 days
- Ability to perform a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Travel and lodging reimbursements as per policy (~$150/night lodging cap, standard bookings)
