This contract, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care in a supportive environment while serving the community's healthcare needs.
As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal conditions, contributing to the overall health and well-being of our patients. Collaborating with a skilled team of healthcare professionals, you will engage in patient consultations, procedure execution, and continued medical education within our practice.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and consultations
- Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders
- Perform endoscopic procedures and other relevant interventions
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other specialists as needed
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records
- Educate patients about health management and preventive care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and case reviews
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in gastroenterology practice
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Valid medical license in the state of practice
- Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient setting is preferred
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development
Schedule:
Monday-Friday (7a-5p), specific dates
Call: 24-hour beeper call shifts
Setting:
Inpatient
Patient Volume: 1 per day
Must be able to cover GI emergencies, including advanced/ERCP procedures
Support Staff: NP
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
