The Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) is seeking a pediatric hematologist/oncologist. Children’s Hospital of Richmond of the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System has committed itselfto transforming the division into a model academic unit devoted to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and clinical, translational,and basic research.

The Children’s Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) at Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a full time academic faculty tojoin the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology position supports the division’s continuity ofcare for both new and established patients. The division,integrated within the NCI-designated Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, offers robust clinical and academic opportunities,including a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship with support for a fourth training year.

• Teaching: Faculty member will have teaching responsibilities in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. Faculty member will provide teaching and mentorship to medical students,residents, and Fellows when applicable.
• Research: Faculty member will have working knowledge inbasic research methods and be able to participate in clinical,translational, and outcomes research that division may play anactive role in pursuing.
• Service: Faculty member will serve on departmental,hospital, or School of Medicine level committees when appropriate,as well as professional activities through journal review,conference presentations, etc.
• Clinical: Faculty member will serve as a physician forthe Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology including all patient populations.

• All candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in Virginia
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment ofrespect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty,staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or acommitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU

• Previous experience in an academic medical center is not required but preferred. Academic rank will be commensurate with previous experience and expertise.
