The Virginia Department of Aviation is looking for a dynamic Aviation Education Specialist to join our innovative and collaborative team in advancing aviation education, promotion, and outreach across the Commonwealth.
In this role, you will:
* Support engaging aviation education programs that connect with students, educators, and communities statewide.
* Promote aviation careers and opportunities through creative initiatives, partnerships, and hands-on outreach.
* Help lead impactful outreach efforts that raise awareness of aviation's importance and inspire future aviation professionals.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience
* Experience in customer service, education outreach, event support, or administrative work.
Skills
* Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse audiences.
* Basic organizational skills for scheduling, logistics, and material handling.
* Competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.)
Other Requirements
* Valid driver's license and ability to travel statewide, including overnight.
* Ability to lift and transport materials (up to 50 lbs).
* Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Additional Considerations
High school diploma or equivalent. Aviation-related experience or certifications;
Bilingual; experience working in an educational or trade setting; high school diploma or equivalent.
