Description

The Program Manager – Youth Engagement Services (YES) is responsible for overseeing and leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of OCWB’s youth engagement programs aimed at empowering and supporting youth aged 14‑24. The Program Manager ensures that program activities align with participant needs and provide educational, social, and career development opportunities. This role focuses on improving youth outcomes by providing mentorship, resources, and leadership to engage youth and help them achieve their goals.

Key

Duties And Responsibilities Program Oversight & Management
  • Program Design and Implementation:
    • Oversee the development and implementation of youth engagement programs targeting youth 14‑18 and 18‑24.
    • Ensure programs meet the needs of diverse youth populations, offering education, career, personal development, and life‑skills support.
    • Create and oversee curricula focusing on leadership, teamwork, job readiness, financial literacy, and college preparation.
  • Program Coordination:
    • Develop, manage, and evaluate programming that promotes positive outcomes such as college and career readiness, skill‑building workshops, internships, and mentorship.
    • Coordinate efforts between staff, community partners, and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Monitor program activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals, tracking attendance, engagement, and participant outcomes.
  • Resource Management:
    • Ensure resources, materials, and tools required for program delivery are available and properly utilized.
    • Manage the program budget and work with senior management to allocate funds effectively across initiatives.
Team Leadership & Supervision
  • Supervise and Support Staff:
    • Provide mentorship, feedback, and support to deliver high‑quality service.
    • Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and one‑on‑one check‑ins.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work culture that empowers staff to build relationships with youth.
  • Training & Development:
    • Offer ongoing professional development on youth engagement, program delivery, and mentorship.
    • Organize training sessions on trauma‑informed care, youth development best practices, and conflict resolution.
Participant Engagement & Support
  • Youth Support & Mentorship:
    • Provide personalized support for academic, career, and personal goals.
    • Oversee case management or coaching services, including counseling, job preparation, and life‑skills development.
    • Develop strategies to engage youth effectively and motivate participation.
    • Track youth progress through systems monitoring academic performance, job readiness, internships, and achievements.
    • Conduct regular check‑ins to assess needs and progress, ensuring timely intervention.
Community Outreach & Partnerships
  • Engage Community Partners:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, employers, and service providers.
    • Coordinate resources such as internships, scholarships, job training, and other opportunities.
    • Represent the program at community events, school meetings, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Family Engagement:
    • Implement strategies to involve families in youth development.
    • Facilitate workshops that help families understand goals and support their youth.
Program Evaluation & Improvement
  • Evaluate Program Impact:
    • Collaborate with the evaluation team to gather data, assess impact, and monitor KPIs.
    • Conduct surveys, focus groups, and other methods for feedback.
    • Use data to refine and enhance programming.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay informed about best practices in youth engagement and services.
    • Review processes regularly to identify efficiencies and improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, psychology, public administration, or related field (required).
