Elementary School, Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional
St. Michael’s Episcopal School seeks a qualified part-time Lower School teaching assistant for the academic year. The Assistant will support teachers with the instruction of first-grade students. This position will begin August 15, 2026 and continue until the end of the academic year.

- excellent verbal and written skills and ability to communicate with students, parents, and colleagues;
- experience teaching/working with elementary-aged children;
- a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred, though not required.

- worked cooperatively with colleagues on a consistent basis;
- integrated technology effectively into student learning;
- demonstrated kindness, enthusiasm, a sense of humor, investment in continued learning and professional growth, and a passion for supporting children as they grow and learn;
- worked actively to cultivate an inclusive environment and support a school community grounded in empathy, social responsibility, and an appreciation and respect for individual differences;
- employed effective classroom management skills; and
- demonstrated success in significantly growing students’ capacity to communicate in a variety of forms, lead among them writing.
