Overview

Adjunct Instructor - Health Professions. The rate per credit hour will commensurate with education and relevant teaching experience. This is a part-time position within the Health Professions Department at Laurel Ridge Community College. May be on site, remote and/or hybrid.

• Provide general classroom and clinical lab instruction both online and in a traditional setting.
• Teach face-to-face classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus.
• Incorporate latest instructional technologies and interactive learning technologies in course delivery.
• Assist in program recruitment.
• Advise students who are in the program or aspire to be in the program.
• Monitor and improve student retention.
• Maintain class records, input grades and attendance.
• Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
• Continually develop and improve skills through professional development.
• Participate in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.

• Required:
  
  Associates Degree; effective oral and written communication skills.
• Must have expert efficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Adjunct faculty may work at any of our sites, centers or campuses. Classes may be online, hybrid or in-person.

Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty:
The rate per credit hour will commensurate with education and relevant teaching experience. The position is part-time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.
