Overview
Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty in Engineering. Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. This position will be located on the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, and Luray-Page County Center as needed. Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty listings are on a continuous, open‑until‑filled basis. Applicants will be contacted on an as-needed basis. cover letters and resumes are optional but recommended.
Adjunct faculty teach a variety of day, evening and weekend classes. The role may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening, and weekends.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s in the field or Associate’s in the field plus 2 years of work experience in the field.
- The ability to use instructional technology is required.
- Occupational experience in the field.
- Experience with Canvas or other online course management tools.
- College-level teaching experience; online experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- The ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty:
The rate per credit hour will be commensurate with education and relevant teaching experience. The position is part-time and is not eligible for health or leave benefits. Educational benefits may be available through professional development and educational assistance policies.
According to policy, telework may be an option for certain eligible positions. Eligible positions are determined by the type of work and job requirements.
