Director of Nursing (VA)

This position will work at ECPI University's Emerywood, VA campus located at 2809 Emerywood Pkwy Suite 400.

• Oversee the admission, academic progression and graduation of students.
• Evaluate student progress and competency based on program philosophy and objectives.

• Interview and select nursing faculty who are qualified and contribute to the program and student outcomes.
• Supervise and evaluate program faculty including in-class reviews of each instructor.
• Orient new faculty to policies and procedures of the University and the program.

• Provide evaluation and feedback to the program on course materials, current changes in practice, standards of practice, and student accomplishment of course and program outcomes.
• Plan and lead program Advisory Board meetings.

• Commit to ongoing professional development through continued education programs and academic courses.
• Ensure program faculty remain current in trends, issues and practices in the field, as well as effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.

• Doctoral degree in Nursing from an institutional accredited school (either ACEN, CCNE, etc).
• Current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in the State in which the program is licensed.

• Minimum of two years of registered nursing experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a full-time faculty member in an approved nursing program.
• Minimum of two years full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse or advanced practice nurse.

• Strong academic and professional record.

• Exemplary interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills.
