Sabot School, a progressive Preschool through Grade 8 school in Richmond and a leader in the Reggio Emilia Approach®, seeks an Auxiliary Program Coordinator to support the daily operations of the School’s auxiliary programs. Reporting to the Director of Auxiliary Programs, this 12-month administrative position plays a central role in ensuring programs run smoothly during active program hours. The Coordinator is a visible and steady presence in the school community, supporting students, families, instructors, and staff through strong organization, communication, and on-site leadership.

In close collaboration with the Director of Auxiliary Programs, the Auxiliary Program Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of auxiliary programs, including Extended Day, Beyond the Classroom, Athletics, Extra Days, and Summer Programs.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ACROSS ALL AUXILIARY PROGRAMS- Lead on-site daily operations during program hours, ensuring smooth transitions, accurate attendance, and appropriate supervision.
- Serve as the day-of operational contact for families, instructors, coaches, and staff regarding schedules, transitions, and real-time needs.
- Support coordination with instructors, coaches, leagues, and external partners during program hours; assist with materials, supplies, and real-time troubleshooting as needed.
- Assist with program communication, outreach, and administrative processes in collaboration with the administrative team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Auxiliary Programs.
- Summer Programs: Provide on-site logistical coordination and transition support during summer sessions, including daily check-in/out procedures, space readiness, student supervision support, and communication of real-time needs.
- Extended Day: Serve as the on-site supervisor for K-8 Extended Day each afternoon, supporting staff, overseeing student supervision and transitions, monitoring attendance and dismissal procedures, and communicating with families to ensure smooth and safe daily operations.
- Beyond the Classroom (Preschool–Grade
8): Provide hands‑on operational support during program hours, assisting instructors and students as needed, managing transitions between classes and Extended Day, and ensuring accurate attendance and dismissal processes. - Athletics (Grades 2–8): Provide on‑site administrative and logistical support for practices and games, including some evening commitments during soccer season.
- Extra Days: Support coordination and full‑day operations on professional development and conference days
- Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant experience in program coordination, education, youth programming, or a related field. Experience working with children in a school, camp, or enrichment setting is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
- Ability to complete CPR/First Aid and MAT training
- Ability to travel within the Richmond region as needed
