Frederick, Virginia. Salary Range: $54,386 to $117,180 per year, commensurate with education and/or experience. This is a full‑time, exempt faculty position subject to telework options as business needs change. No bilingual or multilingual skill requirement or preference.
- May be required to teach days, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.
- May be required to teach at multiple sites.
- Work is typically performed in a classroom or laboratory environment with significant standing and freedom of movement required.
This full‑time Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology faculty position offers an opportunity to deliver high‑quality, hands‑on instruction in electronics, electrical systems, and related technologies to a diverse community college student population. The instructor will teach foundational concepts and applied skills designed to prepare students for entry‑level careers in the electronics industry. Coursework includes basic electronic principles, workplace and equipment safety, DC and AC circuit analysis, electronic components, diagnostics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electronic devices and applications, and system‑level troubleshooting.

Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: $54,386 to $117,180 per year, commensurate with education and/or experience.

Special Assignments- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
- May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of current/recent occupational experience in electronics plus a high school diploma.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to present instructional material clearly and accessibly.
- Effective collaboration skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of students, colleagues, and industry partners.
- Proficiency or interest in gaining proficiency in one or more of the following technical fields: aviation, drones, robotics/automation, artificial intelligence, data science, information technology.
- Associate or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
- Experience in industrial electrical, mechanical systems, automation, PLCs, robotics, or related fields.
- Teaching experience in secondary education, higher education, adult education, or corporate training environments.
- Industry certifications, including but not limited to:
Journeyman or Master Electrician, Journeyman or Master Machinist, Robotics or instrumentation certifications, OSHA 10 or OSHA 30, Allen‑Bradley, NC3, NCCER, SACA, FANUC/NOCTI, Siemens PLC, or other industry‑recognized credentials. - Operation of a State Vehicle:
