Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty. The rate per credit hour will commensurate with education and relevant teaching experience.

Adjunct faculty teach a variety of day, evening and weekend classes. Responsibilities include teaching college‑level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus during the day, evening, and weekends. This position may be located on the Middletown campus, Fauquier campus, or Luray‑Page County Center as needed. Classes may be online, hybrid or in‑person, and faculty may work at any of our sites, centers, or campuses.

• Master’s degree in the field or Master’s with 18 graduate credits in the field.
• Ability to use instructional technology.
• Occupational experience in the field.
• Experience with Canvas or other online course management tools.
• College‑level teaching experience; online experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.

The position is part‑time and is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, educational benefits may be offered through our professional development and educational assistance policies. Pay is per credit hour and commensurate with education and relevant teaching experience.

According to Virginia state policy, telework may be an option for eligible positions. Eligibility is determined by job requirements and agency policy. Positions in this role may be eligible for telework, subject to business needs.
