Special Education Teacher

Position: Special Education Teacher 26/27 School Year
A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available, focused on providing intensive support within a high school setting. This position involves managing a self-contained classroom with an 11-student caseload, offering specialized instruction tailored to each student's unique needs. Para educator support is provided to enhance classroom learning and individual assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning challenges in a self-contained classroom.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines.
• Collaborate with para educators to optimize student support and classroom management.
• Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies to meet evolving educational needs.
• Maintain clear communication with families, staff, and administration regarding student development and program updates.
• Uphold a safe and inclusive learning environment fostering academic and social growth.

Desired

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working with high school students in a self-contained classroom setting.
• Strong skills in managing intensive support for students with special needs.
