For the 26/27 academic year, a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position is available, primarily working with an elementary caseload near Richmond, VA. This role provides the chance to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families to support students' emotional, behavioral, and educational needs.
Qualificationsand Experience
- Active Virginia state Psychologist License (required)
- Master's or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- Experience providing services within a school setting, preferably to elementary-aged students
- Familiarity with special education processes, multi-tiered systems of support, and IEP development
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse school teams and families
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results to inform educational planning
- Develop, implement, and monitor intervention strategies for academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns
- Serve as an integral member of multidisciplinary teams, contributing to eligibility and placement decisions
- Facilitate small groups and provide crisis intervention as needed
- Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to recommend evidence-based supports and accommodations
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to compliance timelines
