Adjunct Instructor​/Advertising​/Robertson School; Rolling Pool

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Virginia Commonwealth University College of Humanities and Sciences is recruiting a pool of adjunct faculty for coursesections within the undergraduate advertising sequence for the masscommunications major in the Richard T. Robertson School of Mediaand Culture. This pool will be utilized on an as-needed basis. Onlythose selected for an interview will be contacted.

• Meet all designated course instruction guidelines.
• Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner.
• Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.
• Submit final grades (and mid-semester grades if required) according to College/School policy.

Inspire students while teaching concepts, skills and best practicesregarding contemporary advertising, dependent on the specificclass. See the list of advertising classes and requirements for thebachelor of science in mass communications at (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)..

• Master’s degree in a related field with experience and specialized expertise directly related to the position, or significant professional experience in lieu of a master’s degree.
• Demonstrated teaching experience or the potential to successfullyteach an undergraduate course in a university setting.

• Ph.D. or other doctoral degree in a related discipline or directly related to the position is highly preferred.
• Previous experience teaching courses within the Robertson School of Media and Culture.

$1,437 per credit hour
