Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000.
Job Status:
Full Time, Nonexempt (FLSA).
Monday‑Friday 8 a.m.‑5 p.m.; evenings or weekends may be required.

Performance OverviewThe Work-Based Learning Program Lead supports student success and workforce readiness by developing and expanding experiential learning opportunities that align academic programs with industry needs. The role focuses on coordinating job placement, resume development, and increasing student access to work-based learning experiences, including internships and apprenticeships. By partnering with faculty, staff, and industry leaders, the Lead helps integrate real‑world experiences into academic programs, strengthen employer engagement, and create pathways for students to gain practical, hands‑on experience.
A key priority is growing and managing internship and apprenticeship opportunities that prepare students for in-demand careers. The Lead is committed to equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and professional connections necessary for meaningful employment while supporting institutional goals related to enrollment, retention, and career outcomes.
- Coordinate job placement and resume development for students.
- Increase student access to work-based learning experiences, including internships and apprenticeships.
- Partner with faculty, staff, and industry leaders to integrate real‑world experiences into academic programs.
- Strengthen employer engagement and create pathways for students to gain practical experience.
- Grow and manage internship and apprenticeship opportunities to prepare students for in-demand careers.
- Equip students with the skills, knowledge, and professional connections necessary for meaningful employment.
- Support institutional goals related to enrollment, retention, and career outcomes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in program coordination, communication, relationship management, and preparing students with job readiness skills.
- Knowledge of work-based learning models (internships, apprenticeships, co‑ops, on-the-job training) and ability to align opportunities with program outcomes and labor market needs.
- Industry knowledge and experience to engage employers, build partnerships, and identify emerging skill requirements.
- Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and data tracking skills to monitor student participation, outcomes, and program effectiveness.
- Proficiency in using data to improve programs and collaborate with faculty, staff, and industry partners.
- Demonstrated ability to create meaningful career pathways for students.
No requirement for state vehicle operation or employee supervision; no required travel.
