About This Role
Assistant Director should possess excellent communication skills and be able to represent the preschool in a positive, professional manner while maintaining confidentiality of information pertaining to teachers, staff, families, and children. The role requires experience with office maintenance, financial accounting, and general business operation in order to effectively manage administrative duties. This person should have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google platforms and must be willing to learn Brightwheel.
The Assistant Director reports to the Director of the Preschool and works in partnership with the FPP Board, which oversees the annual review process.
- Serving as a liaison between FPP administration and staff
- Collaborating with the FPP Director in day to day preschool operations
- Overseeing curriculum development and implementation
- Providing administrative support to the school and the Director
- Managing school enrichment offerings
- Leading FPP Summer Camp as the Camp Manager
The Assistant Director must possess a Bachelor's Degree or higher with 12 college semester credits or 18 college quarter credits in Early Childhood Education/Child Development. Two years of experience in a preschool setting or related early childhood setting is required. The Assistant Director must desire to work in a Christian environment.

First Presbyterian Preschool is hiring for the school year. Positions available include lead teacher and assistant teacher, two to five days a week. The ideal candidate must possess a passion for teaching young children in a play-based preschool setting. FPP is accredited through the Associate for Early Learning Leaders and upholds their standards while using the Creative Curriculum as guidance for lessons.
Potential schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:30am - 12:30pm during the school year, with the possibility for additional hours from 8:00am - 2:00pm.
