Position Overview

School of Business, Technology, and Trades (BTT) – Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Adjunct Faculty (Part‑time)

Pay: $793 – $1,278 per credit hour

Schedule:

Hours and days vary based on course offerings and enrollment. Adjunct faculty are appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis.

• Teach air conditioning and refrigeration courses, maintaining currency in teaching disciplines and community college education trends.
• Develop course syllabi, exams, learning strategies, curriculum, and assessments.
• Communicate actively with the department and support departmental initiatives.
• Assist the agency or state government as needed in the event of an emergency declaration.

• High school diploma with five years of current occupational experience in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Heating and Ventilation.
• Possession of EPA 608 Universal certification.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.

• Formal education from a certificate or higher degree program or apprenticeship in HVAC from an accredited school.
• Possession of other nationally recognized industry certifications.
