Business Law and Paralegal Adjunct Faculty (Part-Time)

Location: Roanoke, VA.
Salary: $793 – $1,278 per credit hour.
Hours: Vary based on course offerings and enrollment; evenings beginning Fall 2023.

• Teach Criminal Law and related courses in the evenings.
• Develop and deliver course materials including syllabi, exams, and assessments.
• Maintain currency in teaching disciplines and stay abreast of trends in community‑college education.
• Participate actively in departmental communication and collaboration with colleagues.
• Assist in special assignments as required, including emergency duties as directed by the Governor.

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree.
• Two (2) years of current occupational experience in law.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to develop learning strategies, curriculum, and assessments for diverse student populations.

• Current Virginia license to practice law.
• Experience teaching in a college setting, especially at the community‑college level.
