Job Overview

Hospitality Management Adjunct Instructor delivers high‑quality, industry‑relevant instruction in hospitality and tourism management at Germanna Community College. The role supports student learning through effective teaching, assessment, and engagement while aligning course content with program outcomes and current industry standards.

• Teach specific courses in the designated discipline.
• Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
• Maintain student records, assign grades, and assess progress.
• Adhere to GCC and VCCS policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintain current competence in the discipline or field of specialization.
• Provide quality instruction, meet assigned classes regularly, and submit required records and reports.
• Assist the agency or state government in emergencies when required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in the subject area.
• History of successful teaching experience.
• Subject matter expertise and experience facilitating learning.

• Ability to teach online and willingness to learn and effectively utilize online learning platforms.
• Industry certifications in relevant fields.
• Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.

May be required to travel to any college campus or center as needed.
