Schedule:
Two days per week between 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 6-8 Hours per week, 18 weeks
Dual Enrollment instructors teach college courses at the Isle Maritime Trades Academy located at the Smithfield Center, covering both high school and college content at a rigorous level, allowing students to earn high school and college credit. All dual enrollment courses shall be equivalent to the pedagogical, theoretical, and philosophical orientation of the college department and contain the same student learning outcomes, components of the syllabi, level and rigor of content, assessment and evaluation of a student learning outcomes and instructional effectiveness.
Dual enrollment instructors teaching a dual enrollment course will be evaluated in accordance with the college’s adjunct faculty evaluation process. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Master’s degree in the academic field or master’s with 18 graduate semester hours in English composition. Master’s degree in academic field and teaching experience in discipline.
