Graduate Assistant – Environmental Health Science & Sustainability
A Graduate Assistant is needed to assist the department with teaching/research, event planning, and marketing/recruitment activities. A partial goal of the EKU MPH Program is to develop students into competent Public Health professionals. While the EHS/IH graduate student may have a basic body of knowledge in EHS/IH, working as a teaching/lab assistant, tutor, and/or grader in undergraduate courses will reinforce and enhance the graduate student's knowledge while strengthening their written and oral communication skills.
Serving as both a tutor or teaching/lab assistant allows graduate students to develop a one‑on‑one relation with their students, serving both as a mentor and an instructor which is also important in developing leadership skills. The enrichment of the mentioned knowledge and skills in the EHS/IH graduate students is fostered by working with their faculty coordinators in their teaching/lab related assignments.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental health science field or related discipline.
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in EKU Graduate School.
- Bachelor's in environmental health science or public health preferred
