The Division of Mathematics, Science, Health, and Human Services at Brightpoint Community College augments full‑time teaching faculty with qualified part‑time instructors to enhance the student learning process. Provide online asynchronous instruction or traditional delivery on either the Chester or Midlothian campus of the college. Courses offered in the discipline include Concepts of Personal & Community Health, Medical Terminology, and Principles of Nutrition.

• Teach up to 8 credit hours in the summer semester, 12 credit hours in the fall semester, and 12 credit hours in the spring semester.
• Provide online asynchronous instruction or deliver traditional classroom instruction on campus.
• Prepare course materials, manage student learning, and assess student performance.
• Maintain classroom or instructional compliance with college policies and Virginia Community Colleges standards.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned and assist the agency or state government in case of an emergency declaration.

• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Physical Education, Health Science, or a related field is required.
• Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Prior teaching experience and ability to use instructional technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Hourly pay ranges from $793 to $1,693 per credit hour. Telework options are subject to change based on business needs. The position is exempt from federal overtime regulations.
