Job Title

Spanish Adjunct Faculty

About the Role

Brightpoint Community College invites applicants for the Spanish Adjunct position. The role involves primarily on‑campus, traditional delivery on the Chester and Midlothian campuses, with limited opportunities for online instruction. Courses taught may include Beginning Spanish I & II, Intermediate Spanish I & II, and Spanish for Health Professionals I & II.

Responsibilities
  • Teach up to 8 credit hours in the summer semester, 12 credit hours in the fall semester, and 12 credit hours in the spring semester.
  • Provide traditional, on‑campus instruction; support limited online instruction as needed.
  • Assist the agency or state government if required during an emergency declaration by the Governor.
  • May be assigned other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a master’s degree in Spanish or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in Spanish.
  • Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
  • Ability to use instructional technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Employment Details

Hiring Range: $793 – $1,693 per credit hour. Position is part‑time and exempt. Telework options are subject to change based on business needs. No required travel or vehicle operation.
