Position: Middle School Alliance (MSA) Site Coordinator

Middle School Alliance (MSA) Site Coordinator

Next Up is hiring a Middle School Alliance Site Coordinator to support high-quality out-of-school time programming at Richmond middle school sites.

This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, relationship-centered, youth-focused, and confident managing day-to-day program operations in a school-based environment. The Site Coordinator will serve as the primary on-site lead for Middle School Alliance programming, helping ensure that students, families, schools, and providers have the coordination and support needed for programming to run smoothly.

The Site Coordinator will work closely with school leaders, program providers, families, youth development partners, and the Next Up team to support safe, engaging, and high-quality OST experiences for middle school youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily site operations for Middle School Alliance programming.
  • Support student recruitment, enrollment, family communication, and youth engagement.
  • Coordinate program logistics, including schedules, room assignments, meals, transportation, transitions, and dismissal.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for school staff, providers, families, transportation, security, and Next Up leadership.
  • Support accurate attendance tracking, data collection, and reporting.
  • Help monitor program quality and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Build strong relationships with youth, families, school communities, and program partners.
  • Support safety, supervision, and communication during OST programming.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an associate degree in education, youth development, social work, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Experience in youth development, education, after school programming, school-based programming, or community-based work.
  • Knowledge of positive youth development principles and practices, with a commitment to creating supportive and engaging environments for young people.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage logistics, solve problems, and keep programming moving in a fast-paced environment.
  • A relationship-centered approach with youth, families, schools, and partners.
  • Attention to detail and comfort with attendance tracking, data systems, and reporting.
  • A commitment to safe, inclusive, and youth-centered programming.

$50,000 – $55,000 / year

This full-time position includes a competitive benefits package and eligibility for the organization’s 403(b) retirement plan.
