New River Community College (NRCC) is a comprehensive community college located in the New River Valley of Virginia. Work schedule:

Monday – Friday. Telework options may be available subject to business needs.

• Conduct scheduled and walk‑in tutoring sessions with students on course‑related material
• If embedded, attend class with students and work closely with NRCC instructors
• Help students find answers to their questions
• Record session notes
• Review lesson plans
• Familiarize yourself with current textbooks
• Complete manager‑assigned projects
• Staff the front desk when needed, answer phone calls and assist with operational tasks

• May be required to perform other duties as assigned
• May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor

• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field
• Ability to work well with others in a professional manner
• Good oral and written communication skills

If you are a student, you must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or a cumulative GPA of 2.5 with a letter grade of A in subjects you tutor.
