Position: Lead Pre-K  Teacher

The Goddard School at Walton Park is seeking a dedicated Lead Preschool/Pre‑Kindergarten Teacher to join our dynamic team. Located in Midlothian, Virginia, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment where early childhood education thrives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute engaging lesson plans that meet the developmental needs of preschool/pre‑kindergarten children.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers to implement The Goddard School's play‑based curriculum, F.L.EX.® (Fun Learning Experience), ensuring each child's unique learning style is met.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress and communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child's development.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom that complies with health and safety standards.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings to enhance teaching practices and curriculum delivery.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Proven experience working with preschool/pre‑kindergarten children in a licensed childcare setting
  • Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood educational best practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment
