Electrical Engineering Technology Adjunct

Job Summary

Adjunct faculty teaching part‑time electrical engineering courses at Brightpoint Community College, Chesterfield, VA. The role focuses on instruction of the National Electrical Code and related electrical topics.

• Teach day and/or evening courses in the National Electrical Code.
• Deliver instruction on code interpretation, chart use, wiring methods, and state/local regulations.
• Develop and implement instructional technology tools to enhance learning.
• Prepare and grade assignments, exams, and other instructional materials.

May be required to perform other duties as assigned and to assist the agency or state government during an emergency declaration by the Governor.

• High school diploma and Journeyman certification.
• Minimum of five years related work experience.
• Proficiency with instructional technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.

• Associate degree in a related field.
• Master Journeyman certification.

No required travel.
