Adjunct Faculty – Mathematics

This part‑time adjunct faculty position teaches college‑level math courses on the Middletown, Fauquier, and Luray‑Page County campuses, and may include distance learning, hybrid, or in‑person instruction during day, evening, and weekend sessions.

Applicants must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging instructional content for math courses.
• Use and integrate instructional technology, including Canvas or other online course management tools.
• Assess and report student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and other teaching‑related activities as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required by the agency during emergencies.

• Master’s degree in mathematics or related field, or a Master’s with at least 18 graduate credits in the field.
• College‑level teaching experience; online experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in instructional technology and course management systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.

Credit‑hour pay range: $794.00–$1,375.50. This part‑time position is not eligible for health or leave benefits, but may qualify for educational benefits through the professional development and educational assistance policies.

Telework may be available for certain eligible positions, subject to Virginia state policy and agency determination.
