Position Title

Biology Adjunct – Full or Part Time, FLSA Exempt

Chesterfield (Chester or Midlothian campus), Virginia

$793–$1,693 per credit hour.

Brightpoint Community College is a two‑year public institution located in the Greater Richmond area. The College provides quality educational opportunities and serves students on the Chester and Midlothian campuses, online, and in the surrounding community.

• Teach traditional delivery courses in Biology, including General Biology I & II, Human Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Microbiology for Health Science, and General Environmental Science.
• Prepare and deliver effective instructional materials on either the Chester or Midlothian campus.
• Assist with ancillary duties as assigned, including emergency response tasks when required.

• Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the relevant discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Prior postsecondary teaching experience preferred.
• Proficiency with instructional technologies.

Maximum teaching load: 8 credit hours (summer), 12 credit hours (fall & spring). May be required to travel by state vehicle only if needed. No supervisory responsibilities.
