Brightpoint Community College seeks highly motivated and qualified individuals to serve as Student Development (SDV) adjunct faculty. In this role, instructors will assist students in successfully transitioning to college, providing academic and community resources, and teaching key skills such as self‑management and self‑responsibility.
Responsibilities• Design and deliver course content either online or in person at the Chester or Midlothian campus.
• Provide information about college policies, procedures, and community resources.
• Guide students through the educational system to foster academic success.
• Collaborate with the Student Development program to meet program objectives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including emergency response support on behalf of the agency or state.
• Maintain awareness of credit hour limits (maximum 8 in summer, 12 in fall, 12 in spring).
- Minimum of a master’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
- Proficiency with instructional technologies such as Canvas.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Involvement with community resources and student support services is preferred.
- Ability to function in a dual‑campus environment and deliver courses online.
