Mechatronics Fundamentals Instructors; Part-Time

Job Overview

Mechatronics Fundamentals Instructor (Part‑time) – Adjunct Faculty position in the School of Career and Corporate Training.

Instructors will perform a variety of technical instructional assignments and classroom preparation requiring in‑depth knowledge of two or more of the following topics:

• Electrical AC/DC
• Multimeters
• Precision Measuring Instruments
• Mechanical Systems
• Pneumatics
• Hydraulics
• Programmable Logic Controllers
• Sensors
• Robotics

Assist in all instructor‑related duties to support the program and the School of Career and Corporate Training.

May be required to perform other duties as assigned, including assisting the agency or state government during emergency declarations.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including coursework or work experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation disciplines.
• Completion of applicable NC3 training and credentials in the areas of expertise within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to write syllabi, exams, develop learning strategies, curriculum, and assessments.
• Ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.

• Associate’s degree in a Career and Technical Education field.
• NC3 credentials (e.g., Festo, Snap‑On) preferred.
• Classroom Mechatronics instruction experience in accelerated formats geared toward certification exam preparation.
• Demonstrated track record of high levels of student credential and institutional outcomes, and ability to deliver instruction in the classroom and in lab environments.
