Responsibilities
Adjunct faculty teach a variety of day, evening and weekend classes. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends.
Adjunct faculty are appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis as needed.
Classes may be online, hybrid or in-person.
Positions are located on Fauquier Campus, Middletown Campus, and Luray‑Page County Center as needed.
Qualifications and Required Experience- Master’s degree in Accounting, or related field with 18 graduate semester credits in Accounting and preference of a minimum of two years of full‑time related work experience.
- Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance with significant certifications such as CPA and a minimum of two years of full‑time related work experience.
- Ability to use instructional technology is required.
- Experience with Canvas or other online course management tools.
- College level teaching experience, online experience a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.
- Ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
- Occupational experience in the field.

The credit hour pay range is $794.00–$1,375.50. The position is part‑time and is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.
