Tutor; part-time

Blue Ridge Community College is recruiting for part‑time tutor positions. These hourly positions are assigned as needed and do not carry a guaranteed number of hours per week or benefits.

• Provide one‑to‑one, small group, and classroom tutoring services of exceptional quality on a walk‑in or scheduled basis.
• Integrate effective study and learning strategies into subject‑area instruction to maximize student academic progress.
• Display a positive attitude toward student efforts and provide consistent feedback on progress.
• Maintain accurate records of individual and group tutoring sessions.
• Exhibit the highest levels of professionalism and safeguard student confidentiality at all times.

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

• Final grade of B or higher from an accredited college or university in the subject area to be tutored.
• Proficiency with Zoom or another video‑conferencing platform.
