Adjunct Math Faculty (Part‑Time);
Pre Calculus II

Inspire students to connect mathematical theory with practical application through Pre Calculus II (MTH 162). This part‑time faculty position is offered on a course‑by‑course basis, teaching face‑to‑face at the Christanna Campus in Brunswick, one semester per year. Salary is based on credit hours taught.

• Trigonometric functions
• Analytic trigonometry
• Applications of trigonometry
• Conics
• Develop and maintain high‑quality course materials aligned with college standards and learning outcomes.
• Use the Canvas Learning Management System to maintain engagement.
• Monitor and document class attendance in compliance with college policies, maintaining accurate records and communicating with students and necessary departments as needed to support academic success.

• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics from a regionally accredited institution.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills; ability to write syllabi and exams.
• Ability to develop learning strategies, curriculum, and assessments.
• Ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.
• Understanding of and commitment to the mission of the community college and student success.

• Teaching experience at the college level, including face‑to‑face and online/hybrid modalities.
• Competency using instructional technologies such as SMART boards, Zoom, and Canvas LMS.
• Experience with community college students.
• Demonstrated commitment to student engagement and academic success.
