Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis. as needed. Responsibilities include teaching developmental and/or college-level courses, which may include distance-learning courses during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends.

Primarily face-to-face with the possibility of remote instruction.

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a nonresidential two-year institution of higher education that serves Central Virginia - principally residents of the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson. The successful candidate will possess expert skills, knowledge, experience and education in the subject area and a history of successful teaching or related experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in teaching field with industry experience and industry-specific credential or license (if applicable to teaching field).
• Two years teaching experience, work experience in the field, and experience with on-line teaching.
• Master’s Degree in field.
• Operation of a State Vehicle; no Supervises Employees; no Required Travel.
• To and from any college campus/site location as assigned.
