Part-Time Art Teacher River Road Early Learning Center
Position Type: Part-Time
River Road Early Learning Center is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and nurturing Part-Time Art Teacher to inspire young learners through meaningful artistic experiences. Our school embraces a hands‑on approach, where children can express their ideas, creativity, and curiosity through a variety of artistic mediums.
We are looking for an individual who values process over product and believes art is a language children use to communicate, explore, and make sense of the world around them.
Responsibilities:- Plan and facilitate engaging art experiences for children ages infants–6 years.
- Encourage creativity, exploration, and self-expression through a variety of materials and techniques.
- Create an inviting and organized art environment that inspires curiosity and discovery.
- Integrate seasonal themes, children's interests, and classroom projects into art experiences.
- Maintain and organize art supplies and materials.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support ongoing learning and classroom projects.
- Display children's artwork in a respectful and meaningful way throughout the school.
- Ensure all activities are developmentally appropriate and follow health and safety guidelines.
- Organize and manage the end of the year art show.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting is required.
- Background in art, early childhood education, or a related field is required.
- Passion for inspiring creativity and supporting children's development.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with classroom teachers.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass all required background checks.
- Creative, energetic, and patient.
- Passionate about working with young children.
- Flexible and collaborative.
- Organized and dependable.
- Excited to bring new ideas and artistic experiences to our school community.
- Part-time schedule with flexible hours (to be discussed during the interview).
- School-year and/or year-round opportunities available.
