RCC seeks applicants for our Career and Transfer Navigator opening. This is a full-time, classified, restricted staff position, with an excellent benefits package. Continuation of the position is contingent upon funding. The salary range will be $48,000 – $54,000, commensurate with experience.

The Career and Transfer Navigator develops and delivers a comprehensive program of transfer and career advising in support of RCC‘s college and strategic enrollment management goals. Strategic enrollment management encompasses the student journey from connection, entry and progress, through to completion and transition to a career or transfer to a four‑year university.

This Navigator role facilitates one on one career/transfer advising sessions, workshops, and events designed to develop transfer and career readiness for students. This includes coordinating four‑year transfer support events such as college fairs, guest lecturers, transfer tours, and National Transfer Student Week. This position serves as a guest lecturer for the academic/transfer planning course, and collaborates with other RCC divisions and four‑year college partners to create comprehensive student support activities across the student experience.

The incumbent expands the network of four‑year partner contacts connected to the college and serves as the expert in transfer and RCC’s guaranteed admissions agreements. This position facilitates training on the VCCS online transfer process (Transfer VA) and best practices for faculty advisors and other college navigators. The Career and Transfer Navigator supports deans and faculty with curriculum related questions and serves as the content captain for the RCC Transfer web page.

Lastly, this role uses various technologies to track and report on individual and program‑wide student success metrics and to support students in meeting key enrollment and success milestones.
