Associate Professor - Accounting

Reynolds Community College seeks qualified applicants for the position of Accounting Instructor in the School of Business, Humanities and Public Service. This full-time, nine-month faculty-ranked appointment will be based at the Parham Road Campus in Richmond, Virginia.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting. Minimum of two (2) years of related work experience and/or college-level teaching experience. Demonstrated ability to effectively use instructional technologies. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and oral/written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to teach in multiple modalities, including online (asynchronous and synchronous) and in-person. Proven teaching pedagogy that supports multi-cultural populations and promotes diversity, cultural understanding, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, or CIA. Industry experience with a national and/or large regional accounting firm. Experience with or knowledge of data analytics. Ability to teach college-level Accounting courses including:
Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Auditing, Federal Taxation, Cost Accounting. Experience in curriculum development, distance learning, and/or course development. Strong subject matter expertise in accounting. Previous teaching experience in a community college setting.
